About this Study
We are conducting a clinical trial of trauma-focused psychodynamic psychotherapy (24 sessions, delivered twice weekly over 12 weeks) for people living with HIV who may be experiencing post-traumatic stress (PTSD). All therapy is provided at no cost by experienced clinicians supervised by expert investigators. Participants also receive $20 per assessment – up to $80 total – as a thank-you for their time.
Most sessions can be completed remotely. Study assessments occur at baseline, mid-treatment (week 5), post-treatment (week 12), and three months after treatment. We also collect saliva samples to measure biomarkers of stress.
